In short

How it works

  1. Connect your number. In Recur Agent, you sign in to Meta in your browser and choose your business number. Recur connects through the WhatsApp Business Platform, WhatsApp's official way for software to work with a business number.
  2. Messages arrive. When a customer writes to you, the message appears in Recur Agent as it arrives. The same chat stays on your phone.
  3. Recur drafts, you decide. Recur drafts a reply for you to read and change. Nothing goes to your customer until you approve it, one reply at a time.
  4. The reply goes out from your number. An approved reply is sent through WhatsApp from your business number, and you see it in the WhatsApp Business app on your phone too.

Recur never chats with your customers on its own. There are no automatic replies: your customers talk to your business, and you decide what it says.

Good to know before you choose it

  • Your number must use the WhatsApp Business app. WhatsApp can move a personal number to it and keeps your chats.
  • Recur can reply within 24 hours of a customer's last message, as WhatsApp's rules allow. After that, reply from your phone.
  • Group chats are not included. Read and answer them in the WhatsApp Business app.
  • WhatsApp unlinks WhatsApp for Windows from a number connected this way.
  • Open the WhatsApp Business app on your phone at least every two weeks, or WhatsApp drops the connection.

Your customers' messages

  • Encrypted on the way, deleted on delivery. WhatsApp delivers messages only to a server on the internet, not straight to a computer. So incoming messages pass through Recur's server, encrypted at once so that only your computer can open them, on the way to your business's computer. Once your computer has a message, our copy is deleted.
  • Kept on your computer. Messages, contacts and drafts are stored by Recur Agent on your business's own computer, not on our servers.
  • Replies go straight to WhatsApp. Approved replies, and photos and files you receive, travel directly between your computer and WhatsApp.
  • Never used to train AI models. Recur never uses your messages to train AI models. To draft replies, Recur Agent uses only AI models that do not train on what they are sent, or a model on your computer.
  • Never shared. Your messages are never shared with other businesses, never sold and never used for advertising.
  • Yours to end. Disconnect whenever you like. The data deletion page says how, and what is deleted.
