Terms of use

Last updated 14 October 2026. Effective the same day.

The short version

  • Recur Agent is software that runs on your computer. You choose the AI models and the accounts it works with, and you stay responsible for what it does with them.
  • AI output can be wrong. Check it before you rely on it. Some actions, such as sending through an account you connect, can go ahead after an AI review without asking you.
  • The app is provided as it is, and our liability is limited as far as the law allows.
  • If you have a signed agreement with us, that agreement governs your use instead of these terms where the two differ.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Recur Systems Limited, a company incorporated in Bangladesh (registration number C-214141/2026) ("Recur", "we", "us"). They cover:

  • the Recur Agent software that we make available to download, including its updates (the "app"); and
  • this website, recur.ag (the "site").

By installing or using the app, or using the site, you accept these terms. If you use the app for an organisation, you accept them for that organisation and confirm that you may do so.

If you or your organisation has a signed agreement with us, such as a licence, a pilot or a partner agreement, that agreement governs the software it covers, and it wins where it and these terms differ.

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

2. Who may use Recur Agent

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You may not use the app if the law that applies to you forbids it, including sanctions and export laws (section 17).

3. Your licence to use the app

We give you an individual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal use or for your work, while you comply with these terms. We may end it only as section 14 describes. The app is licensed, not sold.

An organisation that installs, configures or manages the app for its staff, or requires them to use it, needs a separate licence from us. Write to support@recur.ag.

You may not:

  • sell, rent, lease, sublicense, host or redistribute the app, or offer it to others as a service, without a written agreement with us;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent the law allows despite this restriction;
  • remove or change any notice of ownership, licence or attribution in the app;
  • get around any licensing, security or approval mechanism in the app, or help anyone else do so.

The app includes open source components. Each is licensed under its own terms, which are included with the app, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences. Models you download through the app, such as Whisper or Gemma, come under their publishers' licences.

4. AI providers and connected accounts

Recur Agent works with AI models and online accounts that you choose. You may run a model on your own computer, or connect a model provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter under your own account and key. You may also connect accounts such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Dropbox or Slack, and the agent can search the web and visit websites for you.

  • Those services and websites are provided by their own companies under their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for complying with them and for any fees they charge.
  • When you use a model provider, what you ask and the material the agent needs to answer are sent to that provider, from your computer, under your account. See the privacy policy.
  • We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, their output or how they handle your data.
  • Keep your keys and sign-ins secure. Anyone who can use your computer as you can use the app as you.

5. What the agent does for you

Recur Agent can read, draft and act in the accounts you connect, in websites and on your computer: for example, it can draft and send email, create documents, post messages, fill in and submit web forms, change files and run programs. It acts on your instructions, under your accounts, and some of its work happens on a schedule or in the background.

  • Output can be wrong. AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate content, and can misread instructions. Review what the agent produces before you rely on it, especially for legal, financial, medical or safety decisions. The app is not a substitute for professional advice.
  • Checks are not guarantees. Sending through an account you connect and acting in a website are always checked by an AI model first, whatever approval mode you choose. That model can let the action go ahead without asking you, and it can be wrong. Check what the agent has done, and connect only accounts you are willing to let it act in.
  • Content can mislead it. What the agent reads, such as an email or a web page, can contain instructions written to mislead it. The app's checks reduce this risk but do not remove it.
  • You are responsible for what is done in your name, including messages the agent sends and changes it makes, to the same extent as if you had done them yourself.
  • Do not use the app where a mistake could cause death, personal injury or serious physical or environmental damage.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the app or the site to:

  • break any law, or infringe anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
  • send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, or impersonate anyone;
  • harass, threaten, defraud or deceive anyone;
  • access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access, or collect other people's personal data unlawfully;
  • distribute malware, or attack, probe or overload any system, including ours;
  • break the terms of a connected service or model provider.

7. Your content and feedback

What you create, store or process with the app is yours, and so is what the agent produces for you, to the extent the law allows anyone to own it. The app works on your computer, so we do not receive that content unless you send some of it to us in a report from the app, and we take no rights in it.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without payment to you. You do not have to send any. What a report from the app carries besides your message (its details, the app's log and any file it includes) is not feedback: we use it only to understand the problem, to fix or improve the app and to reply to you, as the privacy policy says.

8. What we own

The app and the site, including their software, design and content, are owned by Recur or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. "Recur Agent", "Recur Systems" and the Recur mark are our trademarks. These terms give you no right to use them except to refer to the app accurately.

9. Accounts and paid plans

To use the app you need a Recur Agent account: the app asks you to create one, or to sign in, when it first starts, and the privacy policy says what the account holds. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that is used in breach of these terms.

If you buy a paid plan, credits or a licence, the terms shown when you buy, or a signed agreement, apply in addition to these terms.

10. Updates and changes to the app

We may release updates that fix, change, add or remove features. We are not obliged to support the app as we offer it free of charge, to keep any feature, or to keep offering the app. Some features depend on third-party services that can change or stop without notice to us.

11. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the app and the site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind from Recur or its licensors, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error free or secure, or that its output will be correct.

Some countries do not allow these exclusions. Where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows, and you keep the rights the law gives you.

12. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, and for Recur and its licensors alike:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with the app, the site or these terms;
  • we are not liable for anything done by a model provider or connected service, or for actions the agent took in accordance with your instructions or settings;
  • our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law that applies.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, subject to the limits above where the law allows them; we are not responsible for business losses.

13. Business users

If you accept these terms for an organisation, that organisation will compensate Recur for losses, damages and reasonable costs arising from a third-party claim caused by its breach of these terms or its unlawful use of the app. This section does not apply to anyone using the app as a consumer.

14. Ending these terms

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you break these terms, or when we stop offering the app, giving notice where we reasonably can. When the licence ends, you must stop using the app. Sections 7, 8 and 11 to 18 continue to apply after it ends.

15. Apps from an app store

If you get the app from an app store, such as Apple's App Store or Google Play, the store's own terms also apply to that copy. Where the store's standard licence for apps governs your licence to use the app, it applies instead of section 3, and the rest of these terms still apply.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except as the next sentence allows. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there if its law gives you that right.

Before starting proceedings, please write to us at support@recur.ag so that we can try to resolve the matter.

17. General

  • Export and sanctions. You must comply with the export control and sanctions laws that apply to the app and to you.
  • Changes to these terms. We may change these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and if a change materially affects you we will give reasonable notice, on this site or in a new version of the app. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
  • Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a company that takes over the app. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
  • Whole agreement. These terms and any signed agreement or purchase terms mentioned in them are the whole agreement between you and us about the app and the site. The privacy policy explains how we handle data; it is not part of this contract.
  • Severability and waiver. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
