Deleting your data

Recur Agent keeps your work on your own computer, so most of what you might want deleted is there, under your control. This page says how to disconnect WhatsApp Business, what is deleted when you do, and how to ask Recur Systems Limited to delete anything we hold.
The short version
- WhatsApp Business: press Disconnect in Recur Agent. Messages that passed through our server were already deleted once your computer received them.
- On your computer: you delete it yourself. We cannot see it or reach it.
- Anything else: email saj@recur.ag. We reply within 7 days and finish within 30 days.
1. Disconnecting WhatsApp Business
WhatsApp Business is coming to Recur Agent and is not available yet (see the WhatsApp Business page). Once it is, a business disconnects it like this:
- Open Recur Agent on the computer where you connected WhatsApp Business, and go to its connectors.
- On the WhatsApp Business row, press Disconnect.
When you disconnect:
- the app deletes your WhatsApp access token from your computer;
- our server stops accepting messages for your number, deletes any message still waiting for your computer, and deletes its record of which number is connected to which computer.
You can also end the connection from WhatsApp's side, in the WhatsApp Business app on your phone. WhatsApp then stops sending us your messages; press Disconnect in Recur Agent as well, so that the app and our server forget the connection too.
2. What is deleted, and when

3. Data on your computer
Recur Agent stores your conversations, WhatsApp messages and contacts, files and settings on your computer. We cannot see, recover or delete them. Disconnecting stops new messages; what is already on your computer stays until you delete it.
To delete everything Recur Agent keeps, uninstall the app, then delete:
- its data folder: on macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Recur Agent, on Windows%APPDATA%\Recur Agent, on Linux~/.config/Recur Agent; - on macOS, its log folder
~/Library/Logs/Recur Agent; - if you no longer want them, the files in the "Recur Agent Agent Files" folder in your Documents folder;
- the app's entry in your system keychain or credential store.
Section 4.2 of our privacy policy has the detail.
4. Asking us to delete anything else
Email saj@recur.ag and say what you want deleted. Write from the address you use with Recur Agent, or from your business's address, so that we can find what we hold. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we delete anything.
We reply within 7 days, finish within 30 days, and tell you when it is done. Asking costs nothing.
What we can delete for you:
- your Recur Agent account and its sign-in records (you can also delete the account yourself, as section 4.4 of the privacy policy describes);
- anything our server still holds for your WhatsApp Business number;
- a report you sent us from the app (give its reference, as section 4.5 of the privacy policy says);
- your messages to us, and our replies.
What we cannot delete: data on your computer, which only you can reach; what WhatsApp, which is part of Meta, keeps under its own terms; and what your AI model provider keeps under its terms with you. Ask them directly.
5. If you wrote to a business that uses Recur Agent
Your messages are kept by that business on its own computer, and it decides what to keep, so ask the business to delete them. Recur keeps no copy once they are delivered. You can also write to us, and we will tell you what we hold, if anything.
